Girls Parties: A Fairy Party

A Fairy Party

The Outfits
My daughter LOVED to dress up so it was only fitting we dressed up like fairies for her fairy party! I ordered the tutus online for $3 a-piece, and found the fairy wings at the dollar store as well as the booties. I found some artificial flowers and hot glued them onto the wings to add a little whimsy.

The Table Setting

For the tables I bought some cheap purple fabric about 2.5 yards in length (enough to cover a standard 6ft table) as well as some shiny, green tulle which I laid on top of the purple fabric to create a sparkle. I bought green, square plates from the local party store and some white doilies. For the napkins I used some cute purple floral fabric cut into squares, wrapped with a silver pipe cleaner as a napkin ring. I also purchased some moss and sprinkled it around the table and added some bubbles and little flower pots with the guests names on them. I used a chalkboard for the menu. I found some cute water bottle   labels online and topped it off   with a custom banner using cute craft paper cut into triangles with circle letters glued on.

The Activity
What's a fairy party without a fairy craft! I set up a woodland scene using some red and white polka dot fabric sewn in circles and stuffed for cushions and used a standard 6ft table without the legs. I then covered it in some light green satin fabric and decorated it with green doilies and moss. Each girl had a small “fairy” house (birdhouse) to paint ($1 each at the local craft store). The girls loved this craft. I supplied markers and stickers and glue, it was a blast! I also decorated some plain wedding bubble bottles for the girls to blow and create an enchanted atmosphere.

The Favors

For favors I collected a bunch of little fairy trinkets from the party store and found these simple pink paper bags with no handles which I folded over and added a silver wire handle cut from a bundle that was $1 at the dollar store in the party section. The end result was a cute fairy purse!
